Annapurna Sunrise Trek

The Annapurna Sunrise Trek is also call Poon Hill trek is a relatively easy walk meandering through villages and rhododendron forests. This invigorating trek reveals some of the best views of the Himalayas and is considered by many as the best viewpoint in the Annapurna region. Reaching a maximum altitude of 3210m, the completion of this trek will be comfortable for anybody of a reasonable level of fitness.

This trek, like others in the Annapurna region, takes off from the serene lakeside city of Pokhara. The real walking begins from Phendi village which can be reached after a short drive from Pokhara. Beyond this point you will be faced with a gentle forest slope inhabited by playful Languor (black-faced monkey) and offering a sneak preview of better things to come. Walking west to Tadapani (2590m) you will come across some of the most incredible rhododendron forests in Nepal, while the gargantuan Mt. Machhapuchhare (6900m) looms above you. Traveling along to Ghorepani, marvel at colorful orchids and clear views of the splendid Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m). Reaching the final destination of Poon Hill (3210m) is a reward in itself. You cannot imagine the magnificence of the sunrise that you will witness from here, which illuminates the peaks of the entire range, leaving you spellbound. A walk down to Tikendungha and then a drive to Pokhara announce the end of this marvelous trek.

Day to Day Itinerary for Annapurna Sunrise Trek 

Day1 Upon your arrival in KATMANDU(1000m/3280ft) Green Globe Travels and Tour will officially greet and meet you at Airport & transfer to you Delux Hotel . Free day & evening welcome dinner at any typical Nepalese Restaurant.
Day 2 Half day guided city tours (tour includes Katmandu Durbar Square, Syambunath Stupa, Pashupati Nath Temple - Hindu Temple & Buddha Nath - The biggest Buddha Stupa in ancent Katmandu). Afternoon pre-trip discussion of next day trek.
Day 3 Early morning at 7 am bus drive to Pokhara (823m). Explore Pokhara. Relax and dine by tranquil lake Phewa
Day 4
Transfer to Phedi, this is the starting point of your trek. The trail is through a forested valley, in parts along a ridge. From day 1 you receive immediate views of the mountains, and they continue to improve from this point. The evening camp
Day 5
A relatively easy days walk, descending a stone stair case, then a climb through forests to a ridge. Pass streams, fields, a village school and cross a suspension bridge. Finally you reach the white washed stoned buildings and paved courtyards of Land.
Day 6
Landruk to Ghandruk You will encounter the most amazing Gurung village. Explore and visit the Gurung Musium in Ghandruk Village. From this point you will have the most magnificent sunrise to Annapurna south and Hiunchuli while you having breakfast.
Day 7
Ghandruk to Tadapani You will continue trek to Tadapani through the dense forest, while walking for 3 hours
Day 8
Tadapani to Ghorepani/ Deurali
Day 9-10
Ghorepani/Poon Hill to Tirkhadunga Early in the morning trek to Poon hill where one may witness the sunrise for a lifetime memory. From Poon hill one can view over 30 white-capped peaks, the whole Annapurna range. Many people talk about having a life..
