This is a combination of moderate and easy treks. Starts from Phobjikha Valley at 3000m, is in one of the few glacial valleys in Bhutan. It is chosen home of the rare Black-Necked Cranes which migrate here in the winter from Tibetan plateau in the north. The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful places in Bhutan and houses the century- old Gangtey monastery. The trek visits the village of Gogona and Khotokha passing through meadows, fields, and forests of Juniper, Magnolia and Rhododendron. This is one of the finest low-level treks in Bhutan.

Day to Day Itinerary for Gangtey Gompa Trek

Day1

KATMANDU
Upon your arrival in KATMANDU(1000m/3280ft) Green Globe Travels and Tour will officially greet and meet you at Airport & transfer to you Delux Hotel. Free day & evening welcome dinner at any typical Nepalese Restaurant. O/N KATMANDU.

Day 2

KATMANDU
Half day guided city tours (tour includes Katmandu Durbar Square, Syambunath Stupa, Pashupati Nath Temple - Hindu Temple & Buddha Nath - The biggest Buddha Stupa in ancent Katmandu). Afternoon pre-trip discussion of next day trek for Bhutan.O/N KATMANDU.

Day 3

Arrive Paro & transfer to the hotel

Day 4

Trek begins from Thimpu

Day 5

Trek to Gantey

Day 6

Trek to Gogona. O/N CAMP.

Day 7

Trek to Khotokha.O/N CAMP.

Day 8

Trek to Chazam (trek ends and transfer to hotel near Punakha or Wangdi)

Day 9

Drive to Paro.O/N PARO

Day 10

Transfer to the airport back to Kathmandu.O/N KATMANDU. Or extend your other Advenutre Trip.
